The formula

(manual minutes − hoop minutes) × weekly volume × hourly rate. It covers only the workflows you model.

Hourly rate

Salary only, before benefits and overhead. The default is the US median software developer wage: $133,080 a year, about $64 an hour (BLS OEWS, May 2024). Fully loaded cost runs 1.25 to 1.4× higher, so the estimate leans conservative.

Calendar

A month counts as 4 weeks and a year as 12 months: 48 working weeks, which absorbs vacation and holidays. The share of one developer’s cost uses 2,080 hours a year.
